 1) Tangents #1 ವೃತ್ತಕ್ಕೆ ಅದರ ಪರಿಧಿಯ ಮೇಲಿನ ಒಂದು ಬಿಂದುವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಪರ್ಶಕವನ್ನು ರಚಿಸುವುದು. ವೃತ್ತವನ್ನು ಒಂದೇ ಒಂದು ಬಿಂದುವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಪರ್ಶಿಸುವ ರೇಖೆಯೇ ಸ್ಪರ್ಶಕ. ಒಂದು ವೃತ್ತವನ್ನು ಒಂದು ಸರಳರೇಖೆಯು ಪರಿಧಿಯ ಮೇಲಿನ ಯಾವುದಾದರೂ ಒಂದು ಬಿಂದುವಿನ ಮೂಲಕ ಹಾದು ಹೋದರೆ ಅದು ಸ್ಪರ್ಶಕ. ಒಂದು ವೃತ್ತವನ್ನು ಒಂದು ಸರಳ ರೇಖೆಯು ಅದರ ಪರಿಧಿಯ ಎರಡು ಬಿಂದುಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಹಾದು ಹೋದರೆ ಅದು ವೃತ್ತಛೇದಕವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.  ವೃತ್ತಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಗಿನ ಒಂದು ಬಿಂದುವಿನಿಂದ ಎರಡು ಸ್ಪರ್ಶಕಗಳನ್ನು ಎಳೆಯಬಹುದು.  ಪರಿಧಿಯ ಮೇಲಿನ ಬಿಂದುವಿನಿಂದ ಒಂದೇ ಒಂದು ಸ್ಪರ್ಶಕವನ್ನು ಎಳೆಯಬಹುದು. ವೃತ್ತದ ಒಳಗಿನ ಬಿಂದುವಿನಿಂದ ಸ್ಪರ್ಶಕಗಳನ್ನು ಎಳೆಯಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಆ ರೀತಿ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸಿದರೆ ಅದು ವೃತ್ತ ಛೇದಕವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.  ತ್ರಿಜ್ಯದ ಅಂತ್ಯ ಬಿಂದುವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಸ್ಪರ್ಶಕವನ್ನು ಎಳೆಯಬಹುದು. ವ್ಯಾಸದ ಎರಡು ಅಂತ್ಯ ಬಿಂದುಗಳು ಪರಿಧಿಮೇಲೆ ಬರುವುದರಿಂದ ಪ್ರತಿ ಬಿಂದುವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದರಂತೆ ಎರಡು ಸ್ಪರ್ಶಕಗಳನ್ನು ಎಳೆಯಬಹುದು. ಸ್ಪರ್ಶಕವು ಸ್ಪರ್ಶಬಿಂದುವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಎಳೆದ ತ್ರಿಜ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಲಂಬವಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ವೃತ್ತಕ್ಕೆ ಅದರ ಹೊರಗಿನ ಒಂದು ಬಿಂದುವಿನಿಂದ ಅಂದರೆ ಬಾಹ್ಯಬಿಂದುವಿನಿಂದ ಎಳೆದ ಸ್ಪರ್ಶಕಗಳು ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ಸಮವಾಗಿರುತ್ತವೆ.                  ...
